- Understand requirements of environmental contract commitments and ensure compliance;
- Consistently communicate with General Managers and Director of Operations regarding status of environmental programs and audits;
- Drive and manage both internal and external audits as required;
- Work closely with site teams to train and ensure understanding of environmental and safety commitments;
- Assist in designing, preparing, implementing and maintaining the environmental project plan;
- Ensure that documents and records are maintained per the company’s processes and procedures;
- Overview and coordinate environmental operations to ensure permit renewals and regulatory compliance;
- Lead program creation for reducing environmental damage and waste at all sites;
- Promote a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures;
- Understand Company ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas;
- Assist with bid writing when requested and conduct research for environmental responses;
- Other duties as requested.
- Intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient knowledge of safe environmental practices
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with others
- Possess sound judgment, decision-making and strategy skills
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize job demands
- Possess advanced knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001
- Ability to work varying work hours as requested which may involve travel
